Rally Fever Takes Over Umeå City Center: A Week-Long Motorsport Celebration
Umeå city center is set to transform into a vibrant hub of motorsport excitement during Rally Sweden, offering a week packed with thrilling activities and events for enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
Exciting Rally Kickoff for Locals
“We look forward to a fantastic week with a great atmosphere in the city center and lots of rally! Our ambition is to create a meeting place where both rally enthusiasts and visitors with less motor interest can enjoy themselves before and during the rally competitions,” says Elin Jonsson, Center Manager at Visit Umeå.

Rally Parade and Star Encounters
On Wednesday, February 12th, Rally Sweden will feature a spectacular rally parade along Kungsgatan. Highlights include:
- Rally cars positioned at Rådhustorget
- Chance to meet and get autographs from World Championship stars
- Stage program starting at 17:30
- Swedish Motorsport simulator van for interactive experiences
Innovative City Shakedown
A major innovation this year is the Shakedown Umeå City, a new special stage along the city’s riverside promenade. On Thursday, February 13th at 09:01, spectators can watch rally drivers test and fine-tune their vehicles.
City Center Rally Experience
For those unable to visit forest stages, Umeå city center offers an excellent alternative. Rådhustorget will become a rally hub with:
