    Gregorius Market Opens: A Thousand-Year-Old Tradition in Östersund

    From March 6-8, Destination Östersund is hosting the Gregorius Market, a traditional market with a rich history spanning a thousand years.

    Market Highlights

    Bea Olsson, the market’s general manager, shares exciting details: “We have worked hard to increase local exhibitors, but interest has been significant from across the country. We have over 80 market stalls, promising a market full of delightful products in food, crafts, and much more.”

    Market Location and Features

    The market area will be located along Vinterparken. A food court with 11 food vendors will be set up at the Badhusparken stage, where all entertainment will also take place.

    Detailed Program

    Thursday (12:00-18:00)

    • Electronic shooting with Tord Wiksten Event
    • 15:00 Live performance: Bottleneck John
    • Birger visits and mingles at the market
    • Helicopter flights over Östersund

    Friday (10:00-18:00)

    • Circus and face painting with Cirkus Kul & Bus
    • Live performances by Bottleneck John
    • UF entrepreneurs exhibit
    • Birger visits and mingles at the market
    • Helicopter flights over Östersund

    Saturday (10:00-16:00)

    • Circus and face painting with Cirkus Kul & Bus
    • 12:00 Crowning of “Gregorius of the Year”
    • Live performances by Trubaduren & Trubaduran and Bottleneck John
    • Birger visits and mingles at the market
    • Helicopter flights over Östersund

    Gregorius Award

    The prestigious Gregorius Award will be presented for the 34th time, honoring an individual or organization that has positively impacted the region’s profile through remarkable commitment.
