Taste of Halmstad Festival Returns for 8th Year
On September 20-21, food lovers will gather in Halmstad for the 8th annual “Smaka på Halmstad” (Taste of Halmstad) festival. This culinary celebration brings together local producers, chefs, and food enthusiasts for two days of tastings, demonstrations, and delicious experiences.
What to Expect
The festival takes place in Stora torg, Halmstad’s main square, and features three main areas:
- The Market Hall: Meet local producers and sample regional specialties
- The Cooking Studio: Watch live cooking demonstrations featuring seasonal ingredients
- The Restaurant Square: Taste dishes from Halmstad’s top restaurants

Caroline Bengtsson, City Leader for Halmstad City, notes the festival’s increasing appeal:
“Last year we had 15,000 visitors to the taste festival and this year we expect at least as many and maybe more. The event is constantly evolving. It’s fantastic to work with such an appreciated event.”
