Falkenberg Takes Center Stage: New Culinary TV Series “Wild Flavors” Showcases Regional Cuisine
Falkenberg is solidifying its position as one of Sweden’s most exciting culinary destinations with the launch of a new cooking series called “Wild Flavors” on the food channel Godare. The series premiered in November 2024 and consists of six episodes now available for viewing.
An Outdoor Culinary Adventure
In “Wild Flavors”, local chefs cook outdoors, inspiring viewers to use ingredients from nearby nature. The program is led by two Falkenberg natives: Emelie Carlsson and Mattias Hemhagen.
“Cooking outdoors is something truly special – nature becomes both our kitchen and our inspiration. I hope we can inspire more people to discover what’s right around the corner, and how we can create something magical from what nature provides us,” says Mattias Hemhagen.
Diverse Locations and Ingredients
Each episode features the chefs preparing meals in a different location within Falkenberg’s natural landscape. Viewers can expect dishes like salmon by the Ätran river, crayfish in Glommen, and tartare in the forest near Lastad.
“In Falkenberg, we have a unique breadth of ingredients from nature’s pantry, ranging from salt-sprayed seas to deep forests. It’s truly exciting to showcase our region and the combination of nature and culinary experience,” explains Emelie Carlsson.
