New National Day Celebration in Falkenberg: Full Program Revealed!
This year, Falkenberg’s National Day celebration is moving from Falkhallen to the Old Town, transforming into a family-friendly festival filled with activities, music, and performances. The charming cobblestone streets, low wooden houses, and the church in Old Town provide the perfect setting to celebrate Sweden’s National Day.
Several historical buildings will open their doors to visitors, offering short guided tours throughout the day. Rian Design Museum and Falkenberg’s Local History Museum will offer free admission, while a comprehensive program of events will take place on the stage at Gåsatorget.
Highlights of the Celebration
- Exclusive previews of the summer family show “Ronja Rövardotter” at Teatergläntan
- Performances by Annika Andersson Korenado and Robin Rösehag from “Allsång på Vallarna”
- A crafts market
- Opportunities for refreshments and lunch in the area
Program for June 6th (10:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
At Rian:
10:30 AM – Flag-raising ceremony with Halland’s Home Guard Battalion, Falkenberg’s Brass Band, and Falkenberg’s Male Choir, followed by a Home Guard procession to Gåsatorget in Old Town.
At Gåsatorget Stage:
- 11:00 AM – Preview of “Ronja Rövardotter”
- 11:20 AM – Cultural performance by the School of Culture
- 12:15 PM – Hagbard and Signe Choir performance
- 12:35 PM – Step dance by Storan Theatre School students
- 12:40 PM – Happy Circus from Magnus Circus School
- 12:50 PM – Dance and song numbers by Storan Theatre School students
- 1:30 PM – Falkenberg’s Male Choir sings Bellman
- 1:50 PM – Jakob Samuelson performs his winning entry from Funkisfestivalen 2024
- 2:00 PM – Ceremonial speech by cultural historian Johan Dahnberg
- 2:15 PM – Annika Andersson Korenado and Robin Rösehag from “Allsång på Vallarna” perform
- 2:30 PM – Benjamin and band perform
- 3:00 PM – End of program
