Skellefteå’s Largest Afterwork Event Returns

The highly successful Welcome Home Afterwork is back again in Skellefteå, offering residents both old and new a chance to mingle and make friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

A Night of Networking and Fun

Following the success of the previous event in May, which attracted around 400 attendees, Skellefteå is gearing up for another exciting evening of socializing, live music, and bar-hopping. The upcoming afterwork will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Sara Kulturhus.

“We hope for an equally fantastic evening this time. At the last AW, many people hoped they would get to come to a new big AW, and we naturally couldn’t say no to that. This is a great way to socialize, and many people were able to upgrade their circle of friends last time,” says Sofia Sturesson from Welcome House, Skellefteå Municipality.

Creating Connections in a Growing City

The event, organized in collaboration between Visit Skellefteå, Welcome House Skellefteå, and Sara Kulturhus, with Expats & Friends as a partner, aims to provide a platform for both newcomers and long-time residents to meet and form new connections.

“Just like the previous AW, the goal is to create a relaxed place where both new and old Skellefteå residents can meet and find new acquaintances. Anyone can come there to meet a new friend, make connections, and just have a good time,” says Stina Renström from Visit Skellefteå.
