P.S. Saknar Dig: A Unique Recruitment Event in Northern Sweden
Despite heavy snowfall and strong winds, 1,300 people seized the opportunity to meet employers from Piteå and Skellefteå during last year’s event at Skansen. On November 30th, this acclaimed recruitment event will return, with an even stronger focus on hiring.
Event Details and Purpose
P.S. Saknar dig is a joint recruitment event by Piteå and Skellefteå municipalities, designed to create meaningful employment connections. Several companies have already registered to participate at the Solliden stage.
“It’s important that we continue to build our brand and attractiveness. The skills needed in our region are broader than just the roles seeking new opportunities due to downsizing. We need to address the entire skills landscape,” says Karolina Sundström, Communication Strategist at Skellefteå Municipality.

Success Story
One success from last year’s event is Sai Krishna, who secured a job as a machine engineer at Metso through a meeting with a Wikan Personal representative. He started his job just four months after the event.
“I really enjoyed the event. There were many companies present, I shared my experiences, then met a representative from Wikan Personal, and now I’m here in Skellefteå,” Krishna said.
Event Participation
Currently, 14 exhibitors are registered, with main partners including Wibax, Skellefteå Kraft, and Sparbanken Nord.
