Love and Celebrities at Springpride 2024 – Here’s This Year’s Program
On Saturday, May 18th, Eskilstuna will be painted in rainbow colors as the Springpride festival takes over Fristadstorget. This year’s event promises an exciting lineup of artists, performances, and activities celebrating diversity, acceptance, and love.
Highlights of Springpride 2024
- Oscar Zia, one of Sweden’s most beloved pop voices, will headline the event
- Johanna Hemming from the Swedish Olympic Committee will open the festival, highlighting inclusion in sports
- A colorful parade through central Eskilstuna
- The return of Pride House at ABF-huset, featuring lectures, debates, and cultural programs
Jörgen Danielsson from RFSL Eskilstuna states: “We have worked purposefully to create a program that celebrates diversity and love for Eskilstuna and its inhabitants. We are proud to have LGBTQ+ artists and local talents on site to share their art and message.”

Felix Andersson, event project manager at Destination Eskilstuna, adds: “Considering that we are organizing the Olympic Days and OS Precamp in Eskilstuna this summer, it feels great that Springpride is being opened by Johanna Hemming from SOK to highlight inclusion from a sports perspective. It also ties together two of the year’s major events in Eskilstuna.”
