Eskilstuna and Linden Hockey to Host TV-pucken Tournament
The Swedish Ice Hockey Association has announced that Eskilstuna and Linden Hockey will host the boys’ group stage of TV-pucken from September 6-8, 2024.
TV-pucken is one of Sweden’s most classic hockey tournaments, bringing together talented 15-year-old players from 22 hockey districts across the country. The youth tournament has been broadcast annually on SVT since 1959, with girls participating since 2019.
“We are very happy and proud to have the opportunity to host the TV-pucken group stage for boys born in 2009. The event will be a great hockey experience for both the audience and players. We expect packed stands and many exciting matches,” says Anders Björk, club manager of Linden Hockey.
This marks the fourth time Eskilstuna Linden Hockey has hosted TV-pucken, with previous events held in 1987, 1998, and 1999.
“We continue our long-term strategic event work within the municipal group, and it’s yielding results. Events like TV-pucken are important for Eskilstuna’s attractiveness,” says Micke Lönngren, event manager at Destination Eskilstuna.
