Linköping Businesses Awarded for Best Hospitality
For the fourth time, businesses in Linköping’s tourism industry have been recognized for their outstanding hospitality. This year, three city center stores took the top spots in the annual awards.
Hospitality and customer service are crucial factors for visitors when choosing a destination. With this in mind, Visit Linköping & Co and Linköping Innersta have been measuring how businesses that interact with tourists perform in terms of hospitality for the past four years.
Mystery Shopping Evaluation
During the summer, the company Better Business conducted a mystery shopping evaluation of 195 businesses. The top three performers were honored at an awards ceremony held at Horse and Hound in Linköping:
- Systembolaget (Gyllentorget)
- Dressmann (Gränden)
- Sköna skon
Jörgen Nilsson, Head of Tourism at Visit Linköping & Co, emphasized the importance of good hospitality:
“It’s extremely important that visitors to the city receive a warm welcome from tourist attractions, hotels, shops, restaurants, etc. This encourages them to recommend Linköping as a destination to others and makes them want to return.”
Record-Breaking Performance
Jessica Stille Törnqvist, CEO of Linköping Innersta, noted the exceptional performance of this year’s winner:
“This year’s winner, Systembolaget, stands out by achieving the highest score ever in the years the survey has been conducted.”
Jonas Gunnarsson, store manager at Systembolaget Gyllentorget, expressed his appreciation for the award:
“This feels like a wonderful confirmation of the work all our employees do every day to provide our customers with excellent service. Our philosophy is that engaged and confident employees lead to satisfied customers.”

In addition to the top three, 14 other businesses that scored over 85% in the survey were recognized as hospitality ambassadors and awarded diplomas. These included:
