IRONMAN Kalmar 2025 is Fully Booked!
Ironman Kalmar 2025, scheduled for August 16th, has reached full capacity with all starting positions now booked. This year’s event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of endurance sports with record-breaking international participation.

- Total of 2,850 athletes registered
- Participants from 69 different countries
- 50% international athlete participation – a record high
- Average participant age: 40.25 years
International Appeal
The event has garnered significant international interest, with the highest number of participants coming from the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, and Belgium. Notably, 49% of participants will be attempting their first full Ironman distance race.

Why Ironman Kalmar is Unique
Kalmar hosts Sweden’s only full-distance Ironman event, which has been repeatedly recognized as the world’s most recommended Ironman competition. The event stands out for its exceptional local support and stunning course environment.

Event Details
The Ironman Kalmar event spans nearly a week, including:
- 4:18:4 Kalmar short-distance race on August 13th
- Ironkids children’s race on August 15th
- Main Ironman race on August 16th
Economic Impact
The event is estimated to generate approximately 80 million Swedish kronor in tourism revenue. On average, each triathlete stays four nights and brings four accompanying persons.
