How Was Your Summer? Öland Tourism Seeks Feedback

As the late summer arrives, Öland’s Tourism Organization is busy with operational activities and planning for the rest of the year. To ensure their efforts have the best impact, they are seeking feedback from local tourism businesses.

“Your experiences are very important to us and strengthen our collaborative work going forward.”

The organization has launched a seasonal survey, taking about 10-15 minutes to complete, asking businesses to share their reflections on the year so far. The more information provided, the better the foundation for future work.

Positive Start to the Year for Öland’s Tourism

Preliminary figures from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth show a good start to the year for Öland’s tourism industry:

    • 335,421 commercial guest nights from January to June
    • 3.3% overall increase
    • 1.2% increase in Swedish guest nights
    • 22.5% increase in foreign guest nights

These numbers outperform the national average, where Swedish guest nights decreased by 3.7% while foreign guest nights increased by 5.4%.

    Preparing for the Golden Season

As autumn approaches, Öland & Co reminds businesses to submit their events and inform them about any news. The organization promotes Öland year-round and encourages updates to listings on oland.se with new texts or images.

Businesses can submit events and package deals through dedicated links on the website.

    Looking Forward

The tourism organization hints at exciting news to come and looks forward to the autumn season together with local businesses. They encourage all tourism-related businesses on Öland to complete the seasonal survey to help shape future strategies.
