Youth Swimming Championships Return to Halmstad in 2025

The Swedish Youth Swimming Championships (U-SM) will return to Halmstad in the summer of 2025. Previously known as Sum-Sim, this prestigious event will once again take place at the scenic Simstadion Brottet venue from July 9-13, 2025.

Halmstad Chosen as Host City

Halmstad was selected to host the 50m U-SM championships following successful organization of recent national swimming events. The Swedish Swimming Federation cited the optimal capacity of Simstadion Brottet for summer championships, as well as the strong partnership between local club SK Laxen and Destination Halmstad.

SK Laxen Excited to Organize Another Major Event

“SK Laxen is happy and grateful for the trust to organize the U-SM in swimming, previously Sum-Sim. We are an experienced competition organizer that has been responsible for several championships before, most recently Sum-Sim 2023. Organizing a championship requires a great effort from the organizing association and we look forward to working together with Swedish Swimming and Destination Halmstad for a fantastic sports experience in the summer of 2025.”

Halmstad Proud to Welcome Swimming’s Future Stars

Karolina Davidsson, CEO of Destination Halmstad, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the event:

About SK Laxen

Founded in 1932, SK Laxen is one of Halmstad’s largest sports clubs. The organization feels a special responsibility for swimming proficiency among children and youth in Halmstad municipality, but also offers activities for members from 3 months to 90+ years old.
