The Success of ‘Taste the Kattegattleden’ Continues in 2023 The popular ‘Taste the Kattegattleden’ event is being organized for the fifth consecutive year. This year, twelve unique tours with different themes and taste experiences are offered along the Kattegattleden cycling route. The tours are conducted in collaboration between local organizers and food and culture entrepreneurs. Several tours have already taken place during spring and early summer, with high interest from participants. Kattegattleden Gets Safer with New Stretch Opening on June 3rd Kattegattleden, the popular cycling route along Sweden’s west coast, is set to become even more appealing and safer for cyclists. A new 9-kilometer car-free cycling path between Morup and Ås will be officially opened on Saturday, June 3rd at 11:00 AM. The inauguration will take place along road 768, at the turn-off to First Camp Björkäng. Halland Municipalities Receive Funding for Sustainable Tourism Development In an exciting development for tourism in Halland, all municipalities in the region have been awarded funding for sustainable destination development projects. The Region Halland Growth Committee has distributed 2.75 million SEK out of a total budget of 4.2 million SEK among the municipalities. “We have received many exciting applications, and it’s encouraging that all Halland municipalities are investing in sustainable destination development and sharing the funds,” says Ellinor Huisman, strategist at Visit Halland.
