Spooky Skövde Returns for an Eerie Autumn Break
As the leaves turn golden and children (and perhaps a few adults) enjoy their autumn break, Skövde transforms into a hub of spine-tingling activities. From ghost walks to Halloween crafts, spooky swimming at Arena Skövde, and forest cinema at Billingen, there’s something for everyone who loves a good scare.
Jonna Ahlander, cultural producer for Skövde Municipality, explains: It’s a week filled with various cultural expressions for almost all ages, ranging from Spooky story times at the Ryd library to eerie concerts at Kulturfabriken and roleplaying workshops at the Art Museum. New this year is the Ghost Walk with Skövde City Museum, a historical tour for adults by lantern light.
Spooky Skövde is the result of an exciting collaboration between several organizations in the city, ensuring a diverse range of activities for all ages and tastes.
Katarina Blad, meeting manager at Next Skövde, adds: Our goal is to create a sustainable and long-term event where all units work together. It’s great to be able to offer a wide range of events for all ages. We have a good foundation from the past couple of years, and we add something new and scary every year.
