Borås: Sweden’s Second-Best Event Municipality
In a recent recognition by the independent business magazine Sport and Business, Borås has been honored with a prestigious silver medal for being Sweden’s second-best event municipality in 2024.

“Since the Athletics Championships in 2013, it has been a straight upward trajectory with large annual events. In February 2025, the SM Week will be held in Borås for the third time. Based on the event plan, many different sports have had the opportunity to conduct excellent events in Borås.”

Borås also secured an impressive fifth place in the “Leading Sports Municipality” category, ranking after Stockholm, Uppsala, Umeå, and Karlstad.
