Two Projects Share Sammes Foundation Scholarship
The Sammes Foundation has awarded its annual summer scholarship to two outstanding projects at Campus Skellefteå. This year, 15 students participated in eight different projects, with two sharing the top prize of 100,000 SEK.
Developing Local Business and Talent
Each scholarship recipient receives 40,000 SEK and the opportunity to expand their knowledge in their field of study, entrepreneurship, and the local business community. Students must reside in Skellefteå during the summer, with many coming from Campus Skellefteå and others returning from universities across Sweden.
The Winning Projects
This year’s winners were chosen for their potential to develop Skellefteå’s business sector in unique and innovative ways:
- Clara Hulten from Visual Magic, working with Arctic Center of Energy to visualize research in electrification and cybersecurity.
- The “Trench” project, comprised of four LTU students: Tristan Båvik, Megan Wendel, Yuval Amir, and Fedor Ivanisevic, collaborating with Seize The Frame to further develop Skellefteå’s film industry.
Fostering Entrepreneurship
Emilia Lindmark, chairperson of the Sammes Foundation, commented on the program’s success:
“Seeing the scholarship recipients transform their theoretical knowledge into practical applications was inspiring, but watching them transition from students to entrepreneurs is exactly what we at the Sammes Foundation want the money to be used for.”
This initiative continues to play a crucial role in nurturing talent and promoting innovation in Skellefteå, helping to position the city as a hub for creativity and entrepreneurship.
