Make Lund Even More Fun: Join the Heja Lund! Initiative
Do you have an idea that could bring color and joy to Lund? Now’s your chance to make it a reality. Submit your application to the Heja Lund! Initiative for events to be held during 2025. The application period is open until September 22nd.
The Heja Lund! Initiative consists of representatives from various organizations including Axis Communications, Alfa Laval, Castellum, Skanska Sverige AB, Lund University, Sparbanken Skåne, Sydsvenskan, Wihlborgs, and Alfa Laval. The network’s hospitality partner is Grand Hotel Lund, with additional representatives from Lund Municipality. Together, these partners collaborate to promote Lund and contribute to a city buzzing with attractive events.
“We want to develop Lund as an event city and now we’re looking for you who want to be part of it. If you have an event you want to organize, we can help make it happen,” says Anders Almgren, Chairman of the Municipal Board and Chairman of Heja Lund!
Past Successes and Upcoming Events
Over the past year, Heja Lund! has supported various events including the Golden League in volleyball, the Swedish Championship in boules, FEI Driving European Championship, Lund Food Truck Party, Lund History Day, and Lund Comedy Festival. Upcoming supported events include Run For Your Lives, Löparhöst Lund, Elithelgen, Nordic Championships in saber fencing, and the World Memory Championships.
Criteria for Event Support
- The event must have sustainable basic funding for core costs, such as venue rental and wages.
- Applications should be for a minimum of 50,000 SEK, with a general guideline of 250,000 SEK as the maximum.
- Support aims to make the event self-sustaining over time, with a maximum of three rounds of support for the same event.
- The event must be ecologically and socially sustainable.
