Light Show and Market Magic: A Enchanting Day for All Senses in Örebro
On December 2nd, Örebro’s City Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland, offering visitors a double delight with the premiere of The Magic Forest light show and the debut of Wadköping’s Food and Drink Market in its winter edition.
A Festive Market Experience
The day kicks off at 11:00 AM with the opening of Wadköping’s Food and Drink Market. This popular summer event takes on a magical Christmas theme for the first time. Over 50 producers, food artisans, restaurants, and cafes will present a wide array of delicacies, perfect for enjoying on-site or taking home.
Claes Nelander, project manager for the market, expresses his excitement: “For us, it feels very exciting to have a winter market. We hope to create a Christmas atmosphere early in December by giving visitors the chance to stroll among the market stalls and explore the flavors of Christmas.”
The market will be open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on December 2nd.
The Magic Forest Illuminates
As dusk approaches, the City Park will undergo a magical transformation. At 4:00 PM, The Magic Forest will be illuminated for its third and final year. Rebecca Larserö, project manager at Örebrokompaniet, advises: “Exciting things will be happening in the park from 3:30 PM, so it’s important to arrive early.”
Visitors can expect to experience colorful worlds and imaginative light installations. This year’s edition promises new surprises, including a partnership with Prezero that has enabled the addition of “The Skyfall,” a spectacular starfall in the middle of the park.
The Magic Forest will be open from December 2nd to 31st, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily, with free admission.
A Day of Sensory Delights
This combination of events offers a full day of experiences for all senses. From the tastes and aromas of the winter market to the visual spectacle of The Magic Forest, visitors to Örebro’s City Park on December 2nd are in for a truly enchanting experience.
