Taking a Break Before the Summer Rush on Öland
As the summer season approaches on the Swedish island of Öland, local businesses are gearing up for their busiest time of year. But before the rush begins, Öland’s tourism organization is offering two opportunities for partners and businesses to pause, gather knowledge, and connect with others in the industry.
Partner & Business Lunch on June 11th
The last partner and business lunch before the summer break will be held on June 11th at Kackelstugan. Starting at 11:30 AM, the event will feature:
- Networking and lunch
- Presentations from Öland’s largest concert organizers
- A talk by Johan Rustan, CEO of Öland’s Tourism Industry
The focus will be on how businesses can leverage the 100+ concerts held on the island during summer to enhance guest experiences and increase profitability. Registration closes on June 5th.
Annual Bus Tour of Northern and Central Öland
This year’s partner bus tour will explore northern and central Öland. It’s an opportunity for businesses to:
- Learn more about the island
- Educate staff
- Find new collaboration partners
The tour includes stops at several attractions, with meals and refreshments provided. It’s free for partners (two spots per company) and 375 SEK (excluding VAT) for non-partners. Spaces are limited.
Becoming a Partner
For those interested in becoming partners with Öland’s tourism organization, more information is available on their website. Nadia, the partnerships coordinator, is available to answer questions and visit businesses to discuss partnership opportunities.
These pre-summer events offer a chance for Öland’s tourism industry to come together, share knowledge, and prepare for the busy season ahead on “the island of the sun and winds.”
