As autumn approaches, Öland is preparing for its golden season – a time of crisp air, warm colors, and cozy experiences. While the first week of September has brought unexpected summer weather, we’re looking forward to the true golden autumn just around the corner.

Öland Roots Nominated for Major Tourism Award

We’re thrilled to announce that Öland Roots has been nominated for the Great Tourism Prize for their work in sustainable tourism. The national winner will be crowned on December 3rd in Stockholm. We wish Öland Roots the best of luck!

Board Member of the Month: Ilko Corkovic

Ilko Corkovic (S) has been living in Borgholm for 31 years and currently serves as Chairman of the Municipal Board. He is passionate about business development and aims to contribute to growing Öland’s tourism industry.

Autumn Campaigns

Our “Golden Season” campaign highlights Öland’s autumn offerings, including culinary experiences, nature adventures, and cultural attractions. We’re also running cycling campaigns – accommodations can register as bike-friendly to be featured.
