IRONMAN 70.3 Jönköping 2025 Sells Out: A European Championship Milestone
The IRONMAN 70.3 Jönköping European Championship 2025 has completely sold out – an impressive 58 days earlier than the 2024 event. On July 6th, athletes from around the world will converge in Jönköping to compete in a challenging triathlon featuring 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, and 21.1 km running.

The event is world-class, which would not have been possible without Destination Jönköping, Jönköping municipality, and the volunteers who are an indispensable part of the IRONMAN family,” says Magnus Nyberg, Race Director.
International Athlete Interest
The event has seen a significant increase in international participation. While 26% of athletes were international in 2023 and 38% in 2024, the 2025 event expects 50% international participants. Major interest comes from Scandinavian countries like Norway and Denmark, with additional strong representation from Germany, England, and even athletes from the USA, Brazil, Colombia, and South Africa.

IRONMAN 70.3 is a triathlon where participants complete:

This distance is half of the full IRONMAN triathlon, making it more accessible to athletes.
Additional Event: 4:18:4 Jönköping
The day before the main event, a mini-triathlon called Elite Stora Hotellet 4:18:4 Jönköping will be held. This event is perfect for those wanting to try triathlon, featuring:
- 400 m swimming
- 18 km cycling
- 4 km running
