Halloween in the City: Östersund’s Most Anticipated Event Expands to Two Days
One of Östersund’s most popular annual events, Halloween in the City, is set to become even bigger this year. Destination Östersund has announced that the spooky celebration will now span two days, taking place on October 31 and November 1, 2024.
The city center will be transformed with hay bales, pumpkins, torches, monsters, and ghosts, creating a festive atmosphere for Halloween enthusiasts of all ages. An extensive program of activities has been planned to attract both young and old to the downtown area.
“We are incredibly excited to once again host one of the year’s spookiest and most appreciated events. Visitors will encounter both scary and, more importantly, fun and exciting attractions. Smithens Gård will be transformed into Diagon Alley with many happenings for our younger visitors, and the Harry Potter exhibition inside Tegelmagasinet is a must for all Harry Potter fans. We’re also looking forward to making the ghost parade even better, and this year the City Stage is back on Stortorget, making it easier for everyone to see the subsequent fire show.”
Calle Hedman from Destination Östersund shared his enthusiasm for the expanded event.
