Jury’s Comments
The jury praised Glenn Pålsson and Dryckeshantverket, stating: “Through beverage events like the Great Swedish Beer Festival, Strandfesten in Lomma, and the Craft Beer Bus Tour, Glenn puts Skåne’s craft beer on the international drinks map while highlighting Skåne’s beverage producers for an international audience.”
Skånes Djurpark was commended for: “Focusing on sustainability and constantly exploring innovative visitor concepts, they combine modern technology with animal care. Both international and national visitors are attracted to enjoy our Nordic fauna and unbeatable nature.”
Malin Buhre was recognized as Volunteer of the Year: “Malin always gives 100% and spreads incredible joy. In addition to assignments during the Handball World Cup in both Malmö and Helsingborg, she has been involved in Lundaspelen and her home association Kävlinge HK. From grassroots to the absolute elite, always equally professional and helpful.”
The Together Award went to Österlen Lyser for: “Engaging both volunteers, businesses, and private individuals by jointly creating an event that strengthens the relationship between residents, villages, and companies in the region. The event’s goal and vision have always been to create a context and an event in Österlen and the surrounding area outside the traditional tourist season.”
Impact on the Region
Max Granström, CEO of Visit Skåne, emphasized the importance of these awards: “We are overwhelmed by the great commitment and interest. It shows how much events and experiences mean for a destination. In addition to generating visitors and revenue for businesses and associations in Skåne, events and experiences contribute to attractiveness, local pride, and community.”
