Östersund Winter Eco Rally: Sweden’s Pioneering Green Motorsport Event
Östersund is set to host the third edition of the Winter Eco Rally, an innovative international motorsport event that combines sustainability, technology, and winter racing.

Unique Competition Concept
The Östersund Winter Eco Rally is part of the Bridgestone FIA ECO Rally Cup 2025, featuring standard electric vehicles competing across standard roads. The unique scoring system evaluates both ideal time and energy consumption, with a special prize awarded to the most energy-efficient team.
“The cars used are standard electric vehicles, which provides insight into which electric cars perform well from an energy perspective in cold climates,” says Thomas Fuchs, chairman of the organizing club.

The rally will feature routes to Bräcke on Friday and Gåxsjö on Saturday, with a preliminary awards ceremony on January 25th at 7:00 PM.
