Celebrate Skellefteå AIK’s Fourth Swedish Championship at Guldtorget!
After a decade-long wait, Skellefteå AIK has clinched their fourth Swedish Championship in ice hockey, and it’s time to celebrate in the Gold City! The team has delivered an outstanding performance throughout the season, and now it’s time to honor their achievement with a grand celebration at Guldtorget (Gold Square).
Join the Golden Festivities
The celebration kicks off at 16:30 on Tuesday, April 30th, with music and warm-up activities before the main program begins at 17:00. Fans are encouraged to dress in the team’s colors of yellow, black, and gold to show their support.
Karl-Henrik Dagman, Marketing Manager of Skellefteå Municipality, enthusiastically states: Everyone is naturally welcome to celebrate the gold. Skellefteå AIK has shown that we are the best at ice hockey, and now we will show that we are also the best at celebrating gold. It will be a wonderful atmosphere and a great environment.

The players are eager to share this momentous occasion with their supporters. Team captain Jonathan Pudas expresses his excitement: It will be absolutely fantastic to share the gold celebration with all the people who have been with us all the way to this gold! We in the team hope that everyone will come and celebrate with us.
Event Schedule
- 16:30 – Warm-up activities begin at Guldtorget
- 17:00 – Official program starts
- 17:10 – Tribute to Skellefteå AIK Women’s team and Skellefteå AIK J20
- 17:15 – Player introductions for Skellefteå AIK
- 17:30-18:00 – Interviews with players and coaches
The celebration will include presentations, interviews, and musical performances with a strong black and yellow theme. Attendees are advised to consider leaving their cars at home or parking outside the city center to avoid congestion.
