Electric Car Event and Lucky Saturday in Skövde on October 5th
Following the success of last year’s Electric Car Day at Hertig Johan’s Square, Skövde is once again hosting a day dedicated to electric vehicles. On October 5th, several of Skövde’s car dealers will showcase the latest electric car models in the city center.
Emma Edqvist, destination developer for Skövde City Collaboration/Next Skövde, explains:
“We started the event a year ago, and since it was well-received, it was easy for us to organize another day this fall. It’s rare to have the opportunity to meet all electric car suppliers in one place, so it’s a perfect occasion to drop by if you have questions or want to check out the latest models.”
Activities for All Ages
In addition to viewing and test-driving electric cars, visitors can enjoy various activities throughout the day:
- Face painting
- Crash sled testing
- Practical Gymnasium showcase of an electric car
- Sale of cakes, bouquets, and wreaths
- Competitions and tips on proper emergency equipment for cars
Lucky Saturday Shopping
Coinciding with the electric car event, local shops are participating in a “Lucky Saturday” promotion. Emma Edqvist elaborates:
“While we have activities in the square, some of the City Association’s stores have joined forces to offer great deals during Lucky Saturday. Customers get to draw a lottery ticket when they make a purchase, giving them a chance to win nice prizes in that particular store. The more stores you shop at on this day, the more chances you have to win.”
