Jönköping to Host IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship 2025

Exciting news for triathlon enthusiasts and sports fans in Sweden! Jönköping has been chosen as the host city for the prestigious IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship in 2025 and 2026. This announcement elevates the already popular event to new heights, attracting top professional athletes and age-group competitors from around the world.

A World-Class Event in a Beautiful Setting

Magnus Nyberg, Race Director for IRONMAN 70.3 Jönköping, expressed his enthusiasm:

The event has seen a significant increase in international participation. In 2024, 38% of the starting field will consist of international athletes, up from 26% in 2023. Athletes from countries such as South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, Ecuador, and the USA will join participants from Sweden, England, Norway, Germany, and Denmark.
