Final4 Returns to Halmstad: A Handball Extravaganza
Halmstad is once again set to host a top-tier national elite sports event – the Final4 of the ATG Swedish Cup. On February 7-8, 2025, the four best men’s handball teams will compete for the championship at Halmstad Arena, promising an exciting handball festival for fans and spectators alike.
This marks the second edition of the Final4 ATG Swedish Cup for men to be held at Halmstad Arena. The men’s semifinals will take place on February 7, followed by the bronze match and final the next day.
“We are extremely happy to continue developing the ATG Swedish Cup and Final4 together with Alingsås and Halmstad, two cities where handball has a strong foothold. We believe that together we can continue to create real public festivities where Handball Sweden comes together and creates a wonderful atmosphere on and off the court,”
says Robert Wedberg, Secretary General of the Swedish Handball Federation.
A total of 157 teams – 88 men’s and 69 women’s – registered for the current edition of the ATG Swedish Cup.
“We are happy and proud to once again host the Final4 in the ATG Swedish Cup. We have fond memories from this spring’s final weekend and look forward to further elevating the event and welcoming the clubs, supporters, and other handball enthusiasts to Halmstad Arena,”
says Stefan Pålsson (S), Chairman of the Municipal Board in Halmstad Municipality.
Final4 is a collaborative effort between Swedish Elite Handball, the Swedish Handball Federation, Destination Halmstad, HK Drott, and Halmstad Handball. All contribute their part, including the many players and parents who serve as officials and volunteers.
“Halmstad has a long tradition as a handball city. Many stars have been nurtured here over the years. To once again be the host city for an event of this magnitude is truly gratifying. We want to invite everyone to a truly wonderful handball festival and look forward to further developing the event with all involved,”
says Frida Hultman, Event Developer at Destination Halmstad.
Tickets for the men’s Final4 in Halmstad on February 7-8, 2025, and the women’s Final4 in Alingsås on March 1-2, 2025, will be released at the end of September on Handboll.ebiljett.nu.
